Journal Prompts for Self-Reflection
Journaling is one of my personal favorite forms of processing thoughts and feelings. I allow myself to transfer my unfiltered thoughts out of my brain and into my journal. The more I write, the more I process, the more space becomes cleared up in my head.
The wonderful thing about journaling is that you can start at anytime (and do it just about anywhere!). You don’t need a specific set of skills to write out your thoughts. You just need a pen and paper. Or maybe even a phone with a notes app. If you’ve been journaling for years or are curious about journaling but not sure where to start, answering some journal prompts is a fantastic way to get the ball rolling and respond to questions you might not normally ask yourself. Feel free to answer one or all of the prompts!
Where and when do I feel most at peace?
What is it about this place that brings the most peace to me?
How can I create more peace in my life?
What are the times that I feel most frustrated and/or overwhelmed?
What is something I can do for myself in a frustrating or overwhelming moment?
Are my thoughts towards myself kind? If not, why is that?
How can I adjust my thoughts to being more kind to myself?
Remember, there are no right or wrong answers when it comes to journaling. Give yourself some recognition for choosing to dive a little deeper into your inner world.
